HUMAN RIGHTS POLICY STATEMENT

N. Walters 1Scribe Services pledges to guarantee a workplace liberated of harassment, bullying, and discrimination. Aiming for this, N. Walters 1Scribe Services will not allow any harassment, bullying, or discrimination within the workplace.  N. Walters 1Scribe Services is further devoted to investigate any grievances concerning workplace harassment, bullying, and/or discrimination, under the human rights policy, using continuous discipline, up to and including termination of employment for the offender(s).

 

Canada’s Criminal Code clearly specifies matters such as violent acts, sexual assault, threats, and behaviours such as stalking. In the event of any of the above, N. Walters 1Scribe Services will promptly contact the police.

 

POLICY

 

N. Walters 1Scribe Services encourages our employees who witness or who are victim to harassment, bullying, or discrimination to bring forward the information as soon as possible as to immediately initiate an investigation.

 

In striving for a harassment-free environment, N. Walters 1Scribe Services is wholeheartedly committed to preventing and/or addressing any cases of harassment, including sexual harassment, by:

 

●      Providing education and training to make sure that all employees understand their rights and duties concerning harassment;

●      Ensuring that supervisors comprehend how to respond to incidents of harassment, including how to collect data, take action, how to deal with confidentiality, how to document, and record keeping;

●      Methodically monitoring or adjusting N. Walters 1Scribe Services’ s systems for any barriers, including any restrictions regarding protected grounds found in the Ontario Human Rights Code and

N. Walters 1Scribe Services’ s Human Rights Policy;

●      Reviewing their Anti-Harassment program with the Health and Safety Committee

●      Providing a procedure for complaints (outlined below) that is fair, timely, and effective; and

●      Devoted to promote correct quality of conduct.

 

This policy also forbids any person at N. Walters 1Scribe Services who is able to grant or deny a benefit to another employee from sexually soliciting or making advances to a person. This could include co-worker to co-worker, or supervisors and managers to employees. Reprisals for the rejection of these advances are not allowed.

 

N. Walters 1Scribe Services will not allow the making of a toxic work environment, as made by comments or any forms of conduct that are known to be unwanted. N. Walters 1Scribe Services will investigate all complaints to prevent a toxic environment.

 

In addition, any employees who experience harassment while in the course of work for N. Walters 1Scribe Services has the right to file a complaint without any fear of retaliation. N. Walters 1Scribe Services will make certain that an investigation is performed in any incidents or complaints of workplace harassment, as suitable.
